At Rhea County High School, economics teacher Mr. Buckles goes above and beyond the classroom—showing his students the importance of community, connection, and service.
Each month, Mr. Buckles invites his senior students to join him at the Vets and Kids Breakfast, a local event that brings people of all ages together to share a great meal and meaningful conversation. He always takes time to tell his students just how special the organization is and how much good it does for the community.
His enthusiasm for the event is contagious. Students look forward to taking time out of their day to join him, and they always enjoy the warm atmosphere, friendly faces, and delicious food.
